Founded in 2015, MDC is a strategic marketing and communications firm focused on ensuring that businesses, government entities, and non-profit organizations thrive. Led by Michelle D. Connley-Gore, a marketing expert with 20 years of experience in the areas of marketing strategy, communications planning, brand identity, advertising, graphic design process management, ethnic-targeted marketing, community relations, and event design & management.
Michelle earned her chops at global ad agency Leo Burnett Worldwide in Chicago on the U.S. Army national advertising business. Michelle then went on to hone her skills at national agency, Carol H. Williams Advertising, working on the General Motors, Procter & Gamble, and Coca-Cola accounts. Working in the areas of account management and event management, and having a heavy hand in TV & print production, media planning, public relations strategy, and new business pursuits, Michelle has the business acumen and truly understands the creative process from start to finish.
Following her advertising career, Michelle decided to pursue her passion for supporting underserved communities of color by taking a national brand management role at the KIPP Foundation, working in both their Chicago and San Francisco offices. As the Senior Marketing Communications Manager at KIPP, she led the work in creating KIPP's brand guidelines, national messaging, annual Report Card, affiliate branding and collateral materials, and collaborated across KIPP's 30+ regions to provide guidance and tools to hundreds of staff who now serve 100,000 students nationwide.
Michelle holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has also participated in Columbia Business School's Executive Education program "Developing Leaders for Nonprofit Professionals." MDC takes a personal interest in each of our clients' brands. We approach each client's work with a clean slate, understanding that each client and every project is different. We aim to deeply understand our clients' needs and goals as well as their target audiences. We work at the pace that is comfortable for each client. We use information from our clients, market data and insights, as well as our experience to guide us in our recommendations and execution strategies. Ultimately, we aim for every client to be satisfied and successful in meeting their goals.

Morgan McRae joined MDC Marketing Group as Marketing Manager in 2021. Her responsibilities include the creation of brand identity for clients and the development of print media and digital profiles.
Since 2016, her experiences have also included marketing roles in the corporate and non-profit sectors in both Charlotte and Raleigh, NC. Morgan also served for two years as a classroom teacher, instructing first and fourth grade charter school students.
She is a 2015 graduate of Sweet Briar College, Amherst, VA, with a BA in Government and a minor in Journalism, New Media, and Communications. In 2020, Morgan received an MBA from the Godbold School of Business at Gardner-Webb University. She is a member of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA).

Matthew has lived across North Carolina his whole life. He was born in Greenville, raised in Raleigh and studied marketing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
He joined MDC as a Marketing Intern in June of 2021 and was promoted to Assistant Marketing Manager in March of 2022. In July of 2023, Matthew began his role as a Marketing Manager.
Matthew holds an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science in Marketing from Central Piedmont Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Kim Anslow is an experienced Marketing & Events professional with over 15 years of experience. Her experience includes non-profit, association, and corporate including companies such as the Smithsonian Institution in D.C. and Sirona Dental in Charlotte, NC.
In 2023, Kim joined MDC Marketing Group as a Project Manager, where she has been able to utilize her organizational strengths and her creative skills. She thrives in cross-functional environments, valuing the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to the success of clients.
Kim is a graduate from UNC-Wilmington. She has always had a passion for exploring different cultures, evident through her participation in the National Student Exchange program in Hilo, Hawaii, and the Study Abroad program in London, England. Originally from South Africa, Kim finds joy in traveling and discovering new destinations.
